Nightingale Card Ministry Workshops at SRC

Susan Saunders is the founder of the Nightingale Card Ministry.

The Nightingales meet weekly to create cards for Seniors residing in Virginia Beach Nursing Homes. 

During the year, seven holiday theme styled cards are created at the meetings and delivered to the nursing homes for the holiday occasion, for example-Valentine, Easter, etc.

Their mission is to spread joy, comfort, and connection through the simple yet powerful gesture of a handwritten card, fostering a sense of community and support among the elderly and those facing isolation.

SRC Crafters for Charity hosted the Nightingale Card Ministry and it has been decided that SRC Crafters for Charity will host about 5 workshops a year for this ministry.

We will host them at the regularly held Crafters for Charity 3rd Monday of the month at 10 am.

All ages welcome, no talent required. Workshops are free.
